Ever since moving to West LA/Palms three years ago I’ve been a regular at Thai Boom and have never been disappointed. The staff is made up of Thai nationals, and I’ve often seen Thais eating there as well. I’m a sucker for their curry which is rich and very flavorful. Their lunch special is a great deal and runs until 4pm. Highly recommended!

The prices are amazing and I was genuinely blown away by the amount and selection of wine & beer.

The food was amazing. The Wednesday special, the lamb shank was so good. The beef short rib I had was so tender it melted in my mouth. The happy hour features 3 dollar Firestone Pale ales and 3 dollar wines!. Most of the dinner items are 20 bucks or more, but well woth the price. I can’t wait to go again

Went on a non-concert night, so got a little extra attention. We were immediately charmed by the hostess and maitre d, then taken on a magical food adventure. Any place that can get me to eat asparagus has to be top notch, the veal was perfect, the cheese tray is amazingly well priced, and the cocktails don’t mess around. Great for a special occasion!

Friends arrived and we popped a bottle of Pinot Noir that was happily opened by the server. The night was whimsical and weather was nice…it was going to be a good night….you could see couples and friends gathered around popping bottles and pouring glasses…

Quite possibly the best sushi I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve downed a lotta raw fish in the last 10 years. The fish was so fresh and tasty.

Definitely a memorable dining experience. Go try it!

We really lucked out on seating because us out-of-towners didn’t really care for the Lakers game in the playoffs that night so the restaurant was fairly empty. I’d recommend calling up for a reservation just in case.

You should definitely try their octopus salad and blood sausage as appetizers. I had veal chop, which was served with spinach. Food was great! Service was excellent. I highly recommend you to make a reservation ahead of time (sometimes you would have to make a reservation two days before).

I dream about La Serenata on the regular. You know a place is fantastic when they do not have salt and pepper shakers on the table. It’s perfectly seasoned every time. From the starter soups to the Fresas con Crema, La Serenata is simply heaven. I love that you are initially fooled by the neighborhood in which is resides. Run down buildings and kinda scary, but as you walk thru the doors, you are instantly transported to a romantic, spanish style ambience. Service is very nice and easy going.

LOVE! We drive from downtown arts district for this grub. The menu is large, lots of choices. Anything we’ve ever tried has been very very tasty. We’ve brought several friends along on our trips and have gotten each of them subsequently hooked. The service is always friendly. It can get a bit frazzled and packed to the brim with people if you head in on the weekends (but this just proves how many people crave its greatness).
